Prevalence
About 150 people with faimily name Šalamun live in Croatia today, in 60 households. There were 260 of them in the middle of the past century, and their number decreased by 40 percent. They are located in 10 Croatian counties, in 11 cities and 23 other places, mostly in Varazdin (25), Zagreb (15), Ledina in Vrbovec area (15), Sesvete (<10), and in Budimci in Nasice area (<10).
