In Croatia, Đedović families are Croats by relative majority (from Zadar ), less frequently Serbs, and rarely Bosniaks (from Semberia (Bosnia) ). In the past century, relatively most of Croatian residents bearing this family name were born in Zadar and in Semberia, Bosnia (Bijeljina area).
Prevalence
About 40 people with faimily name Đedović live in Croatia today, in 15 households. There were 30 of them in the middle of the past century, and their number increased by 40 percent. They are located in 10 Croatian counties, in 10 cities and threee other places, mostly in Zagreb (<10), Zadar (<10), Otok in Vinkovci area (<10), Mostanica (<10), and in Matulji in Opatija area (<5).
In the sources analysed in the project Acta Croatica so far, the name is mentioned over ten times, the first time 1902 in source Hartmann's General List of Apartments in Zagreb.
