In the past century, relatively most of Croatian residents bearing this family name were born in Cakovec and in Mursko Sredisce area. In Zaveščak in Mursko Sredisce area every ninth inhabitant had the family name Čurin.

They are located in 6 Croatian counties, in 7 cities and 29 other places, mostly in Zagreb (30), Pleskovec in Cakovec area (25), Zavescak in Mursko Sredisce area (15), Mursko Sredisce (10), and in Zebanec Selo in Mursko Sredisce area (10).
