Vulje families are Croats and they are mostly from Jastrebarsko area. In the past century, relatively most of Croatian residents bearing this family name were born in Jastrebarsko area and in Zagreb. In Poljanica Okićka in Jastrebarsko area every third inhabitant had the family name Vulje.
Prevalence
About 70 people with faimily name Vulje live in Croatia today, in 30 households. There were 50 of them in the middle of the past century, and their number increased by 50 percent. They are only located in in 6 Croatian cities and 11 other places, mostly in Zagreb (15), Samobor (10), Jastrebarsko (10), and in Beter (<10) and Trzic (<5) in Jastrebarsko area.
