Prevalence
About 60 people with faimily name Tomica live in Croatia today, in 30 households. There were 110 of them in the middle of the past century, and their number halved. They are located in 6 Croatian counties, in 6 cities and 9 other places, mostly in Djurdjevac (15), Zagreb (10), Zukovec in Vrbovec area (<10), Severovci (<10), and in Vinkovci (<10).

Family name Tomica (including: Tomicha , Tomizza , Tomiza and Tomitza ) is present in 23 countries worldwide.
In the sources analysed in the project Acta Croatica so far, the name is mentioned over a hundred times, the first time 1902 in source Hartmann's General List of Apartments in Zagreb.
