Miloš families are Croats and they are mostly from Herzegovina. In the past century, relatively most of Croatian residents bearing this family name were born in Doboj, Bosnia (Doboj area) and in Herzegovina (Grude area).
Prevalence
About 1700 people with faimily name Miloš live in Croatia today, in 760 households. There were 1100 of them in the middle of the past century, and their number increased by 60 percent. They are located in all Croatian counties, in 68 cities and 185 other places, mostly in Zagreb (440), Split (95), Rijeka (65), Slavonski Brod (55), and in Sesvete (50).
In the sources analysed in the project Acta Croatica so far, the name is mentioned over forty times, the first time 1749 in source 18th Century Census.
