Milos families are predominantly Croats and they are mostly from middle Bosnia , less frequently Italians (from Buje ). In the past century, relatively most of Croatian residents bearing this family name were born in Middle Bosnia (Sarajevo area) and in North Herzegovina (Konjic area). In Rudnik in Middle Bosnia every second inhabitant had the family name Milos.
Prevalence
About 60 people with faimily name Milos live in Croatia today, in 30 households. There were 10 of them in the middle of the past century, and their number multiplied. They are located in 9 Croatian counties, in 11 cities and 6 other places, mostly in Zagreb (20), Umag (10), Ivankovo in Vinkovci area (<10), Zadar (<10), and in Dajla (<10).
In the sources analysed in the project Acta Croatica so far, the name is mentioned over thirty times, the first time 1749 in source 18th Century Census.
