Miljković families are mainly Croats and they are mostly from Cazinska Krajina Region (Bosnia), also Serbs, very rarely Bosniaks (from Cazinska Krajina Region , Bosnia). In the past century, relatively most of Croatian residents bearing this family name were born in Cazins Region, Bosnia (Velika Kladusa area) and in Zagreb. In Basara in Slunj area every second inhabitant had the family name Miljković.
Prevalence
About 530 people with faimily name Miljković live in Croatia today, in 270 households. There were 450 of them in the middle of the past century, and their number increased by 20 percent. They are located in almost all Croatian counties, in 48 cities and 60 other places, mostly in Zagreb (130), Rijeka (35), Pula (25), Slavonski Brod (25), and in Karlovac (25).
In the sources analysed in the project Acta Croatica so far, the name is mentioned over ten times, the first time 1906 in source Yearbook and Directory of Literary Society of St. Jerome 1906.
