Basara is located in the municipality Rakovica, in Karlovac County at an elevation of 332 meters above sea level and it covers the area of 3.71 km² (1.43 sq. miles). According to the 2011 census report, there were only three inhabitants left. It is largely populated by Serbs (83%), but also.
