Mikuljan families are Croats and they are mostly from Labin area. In the past century, relatively most of Croatian residents bearing this family name were born in Labin and Zagreb.
Prevalence
About 250 people with faimily name Mikuljan live in Croatia today, in 110 households. There were 300 of them in the middle of the past century, and their number decreased by 20 percent. They are located in the most of Croatian counties, in 16 cities and 37 other places, mostly in Labin (50), Jezero Klanjecko in Zabok area (25), Zagreb (25), Mreznicke Poljice (15), and in Gornji Stupnik in Samobor area (10).
In the sources analysed in the project Acta Croatica so far, the name is mentioned over five times, the first time 1923 in source Emigration Commission Zagreb.
