Letić families are mainly Croats and they are mostly from middle Bosnia , also Serbs and Bosniaks. In the past century, relatively most of Croatian residents bearing this family name were born in Middle Bosnia (Zenica area) and in Zagreb. In Kruševci in Romania (Bosnia) nearly every inhabitant had the family name Letić.
Prevalence
About 210 people with faimily name Letić live in Croatia today, in 110 households. There were 240 of them in the middle of the past century, and their number decreased by 10 percent. They are located in the most of Croatian counties, in 25 cities and 31 other places, mostly in Zagreb (30), Slavonski Brod (25), Split (15), Veli Losinj on the Island of Losinj (15), and in Gunja in Zupanja area (15).
In the sources analysed in the project Acta Croatica so far, the name is mentioned over twenty times, the first time 1917 in source List of Dignitaries, Officials and Public Servants of the Kingdom of Croatia-Slavonia.
