In Croatia, Krlin families are almost entirely Croats (from Jastrebarsko ), barely Serbs. In the past century, relatively most of Croatian residents bearing this family name were born in Jastrebarsko and Karlovac. In Čeglje in Jastrebarsko every ninth inhabitant had the family name Krlin.
Prevalence
About 40 people with faimily name Krlin live in Croatia today, in 13 households. There were 70 of them in the middle of the past century, and their number decreased by 50 percent. They are located in only four naselja i to in Ceglje (40), Karlovac (<5), Draganic in Karlovac area (<5), and in Bale in Rovinj area (<5).
In the sources analysed in the project Acta Croatica so far, the name is mentioned over five times, the first time 1924 in source Emigration Commission Zagreb.
