Kaurin families are usually Croats and they are mostly from Cazinska Krajina Region (Bosnia), rarely Serbs. In the past century, relatively most of Croatian residents bearing this family name were born in Banja Luka Region, Bosnia (Banja Luka area) and in Cazins Region, Bosnia (Sanski Most area). In Kruhari in Cazins Region (Bosnia) every eighth inhabitant had the family name Kaurin.
Prevalence
About 550 people with faimily name Kaurin live in Croatia today, in 220 households. There were 10 of them in the middle of the past century, and their number multiplied. They are located in almost all Croatian counties, in 45 cities and 65 other places, mostly in Zagreb (80), Otok in Vinkovci area (45), Rajic (35), Novska (30), and in Rijeka (20).
