Žepić families are Croats and they are mostly from Tuzla Region , Bosnia. According to some sources they are from Slovenia or Italy. In the past century, relatively most of Croatian residents bearing this family name were born in Tuzla Region, Bosnia (Zivinice area) and in Middle Bosnia (Skender Vakuf area). In places Živinice Gornje and Živinice Donje in Tuzla Region (Bosnia) every eighth inhabitant had the family name Žepić.
Prevalence
About 80 people with faimily name Žepić live in Croatia today, in 40 households. There were 20 of them in the middle of the past century, and their number multiplied. They are located in 10 Croatian counties, in 17 cities and 11 other places, mostly in Zagreb (35), Ivanic-Grad (<10), Sisak (<10), Pula (<5), and in Kastav (<5).

Family name Žepić (including: Zepic , Zepick ) is present in 7 countries on two continents. "Zepick " is used by small number of people in Canada and small number in the United States.
In the sources analysed in the project Acta Croatica so far, the name is mentioned over thirty times, the first time 1902 in source Hartmann's General List of Apartments in Zagreb.
