About 50 people with faimily name Žamarija live in Croatia today, in 20 households. There were 40 of them in the middle of the past century, and their number increased by 10 percent. They are located in 7 Croatian counties, in 7 cities and 8 other places, mostly in Jurkovo Selo in Ozalj area (<10), Zagreb (<10), Oriovac in Pleternica area (<10), Sisak (<10), and in Jastrebarsko (<5).

Family name Žamarija (including: Zamarija , Zamariya ) is present in four countries on three continents.
