Šore families are Croats and they are mostly from Split. In the past century, relatively most of Croatian residents bearing this family name were born in Split and Trogir.
Prevalence
About 150 people with faimily name Šore live in Croatia today, in 70 households. There were 80 of them in the middle of the past century, and their number increased by 100 percent. They are located in 6 Croatian counties, in 10 cities and 7 other places, mostly in Split (115), Mirca on the Island of Brac (10), Trogir (<10), Kastel Gomilica (<10), and in Seget Donji in Trogir area (<10).
In the sources analysed in the project Acta Croatica so far, the name is mentioned over five times, the first time 1927 in source Emigration Commission Zagreb.
