Škrbić families are mainly Croats and they are mostly from Banja Luka area (Bosnia), and often Serbs. In the past century, relatively most of Croatian residents bearing this family name were born in Osijek and in Banja Luka Region, Bosnia (Banja Luka area). In Ćojluk in Tuzla Region (Bosnia) every second inhabitant had the family name Škrbić.
Prevalence
About 130 people with faimily name Škrbić live in Croatia today, in 60 households. There were 210 of them in the middle of the past century, and their number decreased by 40 percent. They are located in the most of Croatian counties, in 17 cities and 20 other places, mostly in Zagreb (30), Garjak (15), Zadar (15), Rijeka (10), and in Osijek (10).
