Šehić families are mainly Croats and they are mostly from Cazinska Krajina Region (Bosnia), often Bosniaks (tuzlanski kraj, Bosnia). In the past century, relatively most of Croatian residents bearing this family name were born in Cazins Region, Bosnia (Sanski Most area) and in Zagreb. In Jelovo Brdo in Tuzla Region (Bosnia) every second inhabitant had the family name Šehić.
Prevalence
About 210 people with faimily name Šehić live in Croatia today, in 90 households. There were 10 of them in the middle of the past century, and their number multiplied. They are located in the most of Croatian counties, in 37 cities and 32 other places, mostly in Zagreb (50), Pula (25), Rijeka (20), Split (15), and in Novska (15).
