Šalković families are Croats and they are mostly from Krapina. In the past century, relatively most of Croatian residents bearing this family name were born in Krapina and Zagreb. In Kraljevec Radobojski in Krapina area every second inhabitant had the family name Šalković.
Prevalence
About 500 people with faimily name Šalković live in Croatia today, in 190 households. There were 500 of them in the middle of the past century, and their number remains constant. They are located in the most of Croatian counties, in 27 cities and 56 other places, mostly in Zagreb (105), Lepajci (50), Kutina (35), and in Kraljevec Radobojski (25) and Radoboj (15) in Krapina area.
