Đurđević families are mainly Croats and they are mostly from Grubisno Polje area , also Serbs, very rarely Roms (also from Beli Manastir area ). In the past century, relatively most of Croatian residents bearing this family name were born in Zagreb and Osijek. In Gradac Našički in Nasice every third inhabitant had the family name Đurđević.
Prevalence
About 1900 people with faimily name Đurđević live in Croatia today, in 840 households. There were 1400 of them in the middle of the past century, and their number increased by 40 percent. They are located in all Croatian counties, in 84 cities and 214 other places, mostly in Zagreb (250), Bjelovar (130), Virovitica (70), Slavonski Brod (60), and in Rijeka (60).
In the sources analysed in the project Acta Croatica so far, the name is mentioned about one hundred times, the first time 1683 in source Catholic Church Parish Records.
