Đuračić families are Croats and they are mostly from Peljesac Peninsula. In the past century, relatively most of Croatian residents bearing this family name were born in Zagreb and Bjelovar. In Putniković on Peljesac Peninsula every eighth inhabitant had the family name Đuračić.

About 170 people with faimily name Đuračić live in Croatia today, in 70 households. There were 200 of them in the middle of the past century, and their number decreased by 10 percent. They are located in 9 Croatian counties, in 11 cities and 24 other places, mostly in Putnikovic on the Peljesac peninsula (25), Bjelovar (20), Rusani in Virovitica area (20), Velika Gorica (15), and in Osijek (10).
Outside Croatia
At least two families with this surname emigrated from Croatia to the United States. Family name Đuračić (including: Djuracic , Duracic and Gjuracic ) is present in three countries on two continents.
