In Croatia, Đakman families are Croats (from Vrbovec ). In the past century, relatively most of Croatian residents bearing this family name were born in Zagreb and Dugo Selo. In Mala Ostrna in Dugo Selo every eighth inhabitant had the family name Đakman.
Prevalence
About 10 people with faimily name Đakman live in Croatia today, in 6 households. There were 40 of them in the middle of the past century, and their number decreased significantly. They are located in threee Croatian counties, four cities and two other places, mostly in Dugo Selo (<5), Sesvete (<5), Mali Losinj on the Island of Losinj (<5), Ivanja Reka (<5), and in Poljana (<5).
