In the past century, relatively most of Croatian residents bearing this family name were born in Orahovica area and in Pozega. In Mala Daljegošta in Podrinje (Bosnia) nearly every inhabitant had the family name Čočić.
Prevalence
About 30 people with faimily name Čočić live in Croatia today, in 14 households. There were 10 of them in the middle of the past century, and their number tripled. They are located in 6 Croatian counties, in 7 cities and 5 other places, mostly in Njivice on the Island of Krk (20), in Tominovac (<10) and Kutjevo (<5) in Orahovica area, Brestovac in Pozega area (<5), and in Osijek (<5).
