Prevalence
About 100 people with faimily name Čordašev live in Croatia today, in 50 households. There were 60 of them in the middle of the past century, and their number increased by 50 percent. They are located in 8 Croatian counties, in 10 cities and 11 other places, mostly in Ferdinandovac in Djurdjevac area (25), Karlovac (10), Djurdjevac (10), Okrugljaca in Virovitica area (<10), and in Rezovac (<10).
Outside Croatia
Family name Čordašev is present in four countries on two continents. The family name "Cordasev " is used by small number of people in the United States and small number in Germany.
In the sources analysed in the project Acta Croatica so far, the name is mentioned few times, the first time 1928 in source Emigration Commission Zagreb.
