Čor families are Croats and they are mostly from Skradin. In the past century, relatively most of Croatian residents bearing this family name were born in Skradin and Virovitica.
Prevalence
About 90 people with faimily name Čor live in Croatia today, in 30 households. There were 40 of them in the middle of the past century, and their number doubled. They are located in 8 Croatian counties, in 9 cities and 9 other places, mostly in Bribir in Novi Vinodolski area (20), Kriznica in Djurdjevac area (15), Crikvenica (10), Zagreb (<10), and in Sesvete (<10).
In the sources analysed in the project Acta Croatica so far, the name is mentioned over five times, the first time 1906 in source Yearbook and Directory of Literary Society of St. Jerome 1906.
