Čaušević families are mainly Croats and they are mostly from middle Bosnia , often Bosniaks (from Podrinje, Bosnia). In the past century, relatively most of Croatian residents bearing this family name were born in Zagreb and Sisak. In Gojakovići in Tuzla Region (Bosnia) nearly every inhabitant had the family name Čaušević.
Prevalence
About 390 people with faimily name Čaušević live in Croatia today, in 180 households. There were 50 of them in the middle of the past century, and their number multiplied. They are located in the most of Croatian counties, in 48 cities and 50 other places, mostly in Zagreb (85), Pula (40), Sisak (35), Rijeka (30), and in Petrinja (20).
