Čabraja families are almost entirely Croats and they are mostly from Bosnian Posavina , rarely Serbs. In the past century, relatively most of Croatian residents bearing this family name were born in Bosanian Posavina (Derventa area) and in Bosanian Posavina (Bosanska Gradiska area). In places Bijelo Brdo , Begluci and Lužani Novi in Bosanian Posavina every tenth inhabitant had the family name Čabraja.
Prevalence
About 770 people with faimily name Čabraja live in Croatia today, in 270 households. There were 90 of them in the middle of the past century, and their number multiplied. They are located in the most of Croatian counties, in 29 cities and 68 other places, mostly in Zagreb (255), Slavonski Brod (150), Sesvete (30), Ivanja Reka (25), and in Bukovlje in Slavonski Brod area (15).
