Zulić families are mainly Croats and they are mostly from Pleternica area , also Bosniaks (from middle Bosnia). In the past century, relatively most of Croatian residents bearing this family name were born in Cazins Region, Bosnia (Bihac area) and in Vukovar.
Prevalence
About 160 people with faimily name Zulić live in Croatia today, in 70 households. There were 140 of them in the middle of the past century, and their number increased by 10 percent. They are located in the most of Croatian counties, in 25 cities and 25 other places, mostly in Zagreb (35), Oriovac in Pleternica area (30), Rijeka (<10), Dobra Voda (<10), and in Sisak (<10).
In the sources analysed in the project Acta Croatica so far, the name is mentioned over twenty times, the first time 1729 in source Catholic Church Parish Records.
