About 170 people with faimily name Zrinščak live in Croatia today, in 80 households. There were 320 of them in the middle of the past century, and their number halved. They are located in the most of Croatian counties, in 16 cities and 25 other places, mostly in Zagreb (50), Stuparje in Krapina area (25), Stubicke Toplice in Oroslavje area (<10), Krapina (<10), and in Podgora Krapinska (<10).

Family name Zrinščak is present in five countries on three continents. The family name "Zrinscak " is used by small number of people in Canada , small number in the United States , and small number of people in France.
In the sources analysed in the project Acta Croatica so far, the name is mentioned few times, the first time 1683 in source Catholic Church Parish Records.
