In Croatia, Zorović families are generally Croats (from the Island of Losinj ), rarely Serbs, and barely Macedonians (from Samobor ). In the past century, relatively most of Croatian residents bearing this family name were born on the Island of Losinj and in Glina. In Nerezine on the Island of Losinj every eighth inhabitant had the family name Zorović.
Prevalence
About 50 people with faimily name Zorović live in Croatia today, in 30 households. There were 190 of them in the middle of the past century, and their number decreased significantly. They are located in 7 Croatian counties, in 7 cities and threee other places, mostly in Nerezine on the Island of Losinj (15), Zagreb (10), Mali Losinj on the Island of Losinj (10), Rijeka (<5), and in Pula (<5).
