In the past century, relatively most of Croatian residents bearing this family name were born in Bosnian Krajina (Kotor Varos area) and in Djakovo area. In Šibovi in Bosnian Krajina every fiftieth inhabitant had the family name Zorkić.
Prevalence
About 70 people with faimily name Zorkić live in Croatia today, in 30 households. There were 10 of them in the middle of the past century, and their number multiplied. They are located in the most of Croatian counties, in 9 cities and 12 other places, mostly in Strizivojna in Djakovo area (15), Velika in Pozega area (10), Josipdol in Ogulin area (<10), Pula (<10), and in Makarska (<10).

Family name Zorkić (including: Zorkic , Zorcic and Zorkich ) is present in 15 countries on four continents. The family name "Zorkic " is used by small number of people in the United States.
In the sources analysed in the project Acta Croatica so far, the name is mentioned over twenty times, the first time 1902 in source Hartmann's General List of Apartments in Zagreb.
