Vrvilo families are Croats and they are mostly from Solin area. In the past century, relatively most of Croatian residents bearing this family name were born in Solin area and in Split. In Brštanovo in Solin area every sixth inhabitant had the family name Vrvilo.
Prevalence
About 190 people with faimily name Vrvilo live in Croatia today, in 70 households. There were 110 of them in the middle of the past century, and their number increased by 80 percent. They are located in 7 Croatian counties, in 11 cities and 10 other places, mostly in Split (85), Brstanovo in Solin area (40), Kastel Luksic (15), Kastel Stari (10), and in Matulji in Opatija area (<10).
Outside Croatia
Family name Vrvilo is present in three countries on two continents. The family name "Vrvilo " is used by small number of people in the United States.
