Vrebac families are Croats and they are mostly from middle Bosnia and from Hercegovina. In the past century, relatively most of Croatian residents bearing this family name were born in Middle Bosnia (Vitez area) and in Middle Bosnia (Travnik area). In places Šantići and Čehova in Middle Bosnia every seventh inhabitant had the family name Vrebac.
Prevalence
About 190 people with faimily name Vrebac live in Croatia today, in 100 households. There were 100 of them in the middle of the past century, and their number increased by 90 percent. They are located in the most of Croatian counties, in 26 cities and 25 other places, mostly in Zagreb (40), Osijek (25), Otok in Vinkovci area (15), Sisak (10), and in Okrug Gornji on the Island of Ciovo (10).

Family name Vrebac is present in 13 countries on three continents. The family name "Vrebac " is used by small number of people in the United States , small number in Australia , and small number of people in Austria.
