Vejić families are mainly Croats and they are mostly from middle Bosnia , often Serbs. In the past century, relatively most of Croatian residents bearing this family name were born in Middle Bosnia (Bugojno area) and in Slatina. In Podripci in Middle Bosnia every fourth inhabitant had the family name Vejić.
Prevalence
About 130 people with faimily name Vejić live in Croatia today, in 60 households. There were 90 of them in the middle of the past century, and their number increased by 30 percent. They are located in the most of Croatian counties, in 20 cities and 13 other places, mostly in Belisce (15), Slatina (15), Ploce (10), Zagreb (10), and in Split (<10).
