Veber families are mainly Croats and they are mostly from Nasice area , rarely Hungarians. In the past century, relatively most of Croatian residents bearing this family name were born in Osijek and Pakrac.
Prevalence
About 170 people with faimily name Veber live in Croatia today, in 90 households. There were 370 of them in the middle of the past century, and their number halved. They are located in the most of Croatian counties, in 21 cities and 24 other places, mostly in Zagreb (20), Slavonski Brod (15), Cepin in Osijek area (15), Nasice (10), and in Podgorac in Nasice area (10).
In the sources analysed in the project Acta Croatica so far, the name is mentioned over seventy times, the first time 1902 in source Hartmann's General List of Apartments in Zagreb.
