Prevalence
About 40 people with faimily name Vasiljev live in Croatia today, in 19 households. There were 50 of them in the middle of the past century, and their number decreased by 30 percent. They are located in 7 Croatian counties, in 7 cities and 5 other places, mostly in Vera in Vukovar area (15), Zagreb (10), Rijeka (<10), Trpinja in Vukovar area (<5), and in Kozarac in Beli Manastir area (<5).
In the sources analysed in the project Acta Croatica so far, the name is mentioned few times, the first time 1933 in source Emigration Commission Zagreb.
