Vasilić families are mainly Croats and they are mostly from the Island of Krk , often Serbs. In the past century, relatively most of Croatian residents bearing this family name were born in Rijeka and Slavonski Brod. In Kladari in Doboj area, BiH every fourth inhabitant had the family name Vasilić.
Prevalence
About 170 people with faimily name Vasilić live in Croatia today, in 90 households. There were 110 of them in the middle of the past century, and their number increased by 50 percent. They are located in 10 Croatian counties, in 18 cities and 20 other places, mostly in Slavonski Brod (40), Rijeka (25), Krk on the Island of Krk (20), Zagreb (20), and in Jurandvor on the Island of Krk (10).
In the sources analysed in the project Acta Croatica so far, the name is mentioned over ten times, the first time 1929 in source Emigration Commission Zagreb.
