Vadla families are Croats and they are mostly from Koprivnica area. According to some sources they originate from Hungary. In the past century, relatively most of Croatian residents bearing this family name were born in Zagreb and in Koprivnica area. In Mali Otok in Koprivnica area every seventh inhabitant had the family name Vadla.
Prevalence
About 100 people with faimily name Vadla live in Croatia today, in 50 households. There were 170 of them in the middle of the past century, and their number decreased by 40 percent. They are located in 7 Croatian counties, in 9 cities and 7 other places, mostly in Zagreb (35), Koprivnica (20), Cakovec (<10), Varazdin (<10), and in Mali Otok in Koprivnica area (<10).
