In Croatia, Tomčić families are predominantly Croats (from Cetinje, Montenegro ), rarely Serbs, and very rarely Montenegrins (from Cetinje, Montenegro ). In the past century, relatively most of Croatian residents bearing this family name were born in Zagreb and Glina.
Prevalence
About 80 people with faimily name Tomčić live in Croatia today, in 30 households. There were 130 of them in the middle of the past century, and their number decreased by 40 percent. They are located in the most of Croatian counties, in 12 cities and 7 other places, mostly in Zagreb (25), Zadar (<10), Velika Gorica (<10), Zapresic (<10), and in Rijeka (<10).
