Prevalence
About 50 people with faimily name Tomažić live in Croatia today, in 30 households. There were 40 of them in the middle of the past century, and their number increased by 40 percent. They are located in 8 Croatian counties, in 9 cities and four other places, mostly in Umag (10), Zagreb (<10), Rijeka (<10), Opatija (<10), and in Prespa (<5).
In the sources analysed in the project Acta Croatica so far, the name is mentioned over five times, the first time 1729 in source Catholic Church Parish Records.
