Tokalić families are mainly Croats and they are mostly from east Herzegovina , rarely Bosniaks. In the past century, relatively most of Croatian residents bearing this family name were born in East Herzegovina (Trebinje area) and in Djakovo. In Vukovići in East Herzegovina every fourth inhabitant had the family name Tokalić.
