They are located in 9 Croatian counties, in 9 cities and four other places, mostly in Zagreb (25), Virovitica (20), Turanovac in Virovitica area (<10), Rijeka (<10), and in Dubrovnik (<10).

Family name Taušan (including: Tausan , Taushan and Thausan ) is present in 16 countries on four continents. The family name "Tausan " is used by some 400 people in Romania , about 200 in the United States , and some 100 people in Indonesia.
