Prevalence
About 80 people with faimily name Svilan live in Croatia today, in 40 households. There were 30 of them in the middle of the past century, and their number more than doubled. They are located in four Croatian counties, in 6 cities and 6 other places, mostly in Trogir (55), Segotici in Pula area (<5), Okrug Gornji on the Island of Ciovo (<5), Seget Donji in Trogir area (<5), and in Zedno (<5).
Outside Croatia
Family name Svilan is present in 11 countries on three continents. "Svelan " is used by small number of people in the United States and small number in Slovakia.
