About 220 people with faimily name Stojan live in Croatia today, in 80 households. There were 160 of them in the middle of the past century, and their number increased by 40 percent. They are located in 8 Croatian counties, in 14 cities and 7 other places, mostly in Split (40), Dograde in Trogir area (35), Trogir (30), and in Marina (30) and Gustirna (15) in Trogir area.
In the sources analysed in the project Acta Croatica so far, the name is mentioned over five times, the first time 1928 in source Emigration Commission Zagreb.
