Stojak families are Croats and they are mostly from middle Bosnia and according to some sources from Dolca near Travnik. In the past century, relatively most of Croatian residents bearing this family name were born in Middle Bosnia (Travnik area) and in Tuzla Region, Bosnia (Tuzla area). In places Čukle and Ovčarevo in Middle Bosnia every seventh inhabitant had the family name Stojak.

Prevalence

About 450 people with faimily name Stojak live in Croatia today, in 190 households. There were 70 of them in the middle of the past century, and their number multiplied.
They are located in almost all Croatian counties, in 38 cities and 60 other places, mostly in Zagreb (65), Knin (40), Primorski Dolac in Trogir area (30), Viskovci in Djakovo area (20), and in Split (20).
