Stajčić families are mainly Croats and they are mostly from Novska , often Serbs. In the past century, relatively most of Croatian residents bearing this family name were born in Zagreb and in Bosanian Posavina (Bosanska Gradiska area). In Gornji Karajzovci in Bosanian Posavina every fourth inhabitant had the family name Stajčić.
Prevalence
About 100 people with faimily name Stajčić live in Croatia today, in 50 households. There were 30 of them in the middle of the past century, and their number more than tripled. They are located in 10 Croatian counties, in 13 cities and 9 other places, mostly in Zagreb (35), Pula (15), Rijeka (10), Velika Gorica (<10), and in Novska (<10).
