In the past century, relatively most of Croatian residents bearing this family name were born in Herzegovina (Siroki Brijeg area) and in Herzegovina (Mostar area). In places Gornja Britvica and Donja Britvica in Herzegovina every second inhabitant had the family name Soldo.
