Siladi families are Croats and they are mostly from Prelog area. In the past century, relatively most of Croatian residents bearing this family name were born in Prelog area and in Cakovec.
Prevalence
About 160 people with faimily name Siladi live in Croatia today, in 70 households. There were 220 of them in the middle of the past century, and their number decreased by 30 percent. They are located in 10 Croatian counties, in 12 cities and 16 other places, mostly in Kotoriba in Prelog area (50), Zagreb (30), Sveti Petar Orehovec in Krizevci area (20), Cakovec (15), and in Krizevci (<10).
In the sources analysed in the project Acta Croatica so far, the name is mentioned over five times, the first time 1906 in source Yearbook and Directory of Literary Society of St. Jerome 1906.
