Sente families are Croats and they are mostly from Zabok area. According to some sources they are from Martinec Orehovicki near Zabok and from Hungary (Nagykanizsa). In the past century, relatively most of Croatian residents bearing this family name were born in Zagreb and in Lepoglava area.

"Szente " is used by some 1000 people in Hungary , about 400 in Romania , and some 100 people in the United States. "Shentte " is used by few people in the United States.
