Selaković families are mainly Croats and they are mostly from middle Bosnia , often Serbs. In the past century, relatively most of Croatian residents bearing this family name were born in Zagreb and Osijek.

About 70 people with faimily name Selaković live in Croatia today, in 40 households. There were 100 of them in the middle of the past century, and their number decreased by 30 percent. They are located in 8 Croatian counties, in 14 cities and four other places, mostly in Zagreb (25), Rijeka (<10), Pula (<10), Gat (<10), and in Osijek (<5).
